Due to technical difficulties WIP Wednesday has been delayed to Thursday this week, but here’s a sneak peak of tomorrow’s post.
I sat down last night to complete my WIP post, and ran into major technical issues. (I should have known better than to push that update button!) By the time I got them resolved, I was too tired and cranky to continue, so you’ll just have to be patient with me.
I am a programmer in my every day job, and I still find it frustrating when unexpected technical glitches happen. Do you ever have computer problems when you’re preparing a blog post? How do you handle it?

Ahhhhhh (immense sigh of relief that it’s not just me!). I get so frustrated with technical glitches, and my inability to make computer things do what I want (see https://wordpress.com/posts/juliascreativeyear.wordpress.com) . I don’t think I particularly computer illiterate either, and have even used scratch to make a computer game. My husband is a computer programmer and sometimes I irrationally blame him for any unexpected glitches (poor guy). So far I’ve not found a good way of dealing with them… I shall read any other responses you get to see what advice is out there!

It makes me wonder how people handle these things if they have no real computer experience. If we get this frustrated, what do they do?

I’m glad to hear that it’s not just me – because sometimes I take these problems personally 😂 What do I do? Hmmm…deep breaths…step away from the computer (very important! 😜) Then I walk around a bit…while muttering to myself 😋
When I feel calmer I try again…or,as in the case last week write everything, again😡 That took a lot of walking and muttering LOL

Technology has it in for me this week. I’ve been struggling all day with computer issues on my work laptop, and they just keep getting worse. I am trying to get some things done before I go on vacation next week, and nothing is co-operating! 😭

I’m so sorry to hear that 😕 I’m not a big fan of my laptop…but here – at least – it’s only recreational. When it’s for work it’s so much more annoying and disruptive…to say the least. I hope you can resolve the issue soon, and then enjoy a wonderful, relaxing vacation 🤗

I have been lucky to only have had one OH NO moment that was quickly and easily resolved by the wordpress help technician. Any other issues I’ve had were all user (me) related. 😀

My problem was an Adobe update that messed up, this time around, lol. It’s fixed now, thankfully. It just wasn’t my week, I had issues on my work computer as well, and Purolator lost a package from Amazon, lol.

I have given up on a post ever being published after accidentally deleting it twice! Someone must have been trying to tell me something, but it wasn’t even about a controversial topic.
