As I feared, I was unable to get day 8 posted yesterday so you all get a double treat today!
Day 8’s tea was Buddha’s Blend, and it contains a mixture of white and green tea, with jasmine pearls and hibiscus blossoms. It sounded very promising, what with the jasmine and all. It certainly smelled amazing when I opened the tin! The scent at first appeared to be quite fruity to me, but I couldn’t quite place it. I realized afterward that it was probably the jasmine because it smelled similar to the Organic Silk Dragon Jasmine from earlier in the week.
The scent lingered even after steeping this tea, which I steeped for only 2 minutes to keep it from becoming bitter. Unfortunately the taste did not live up to expectations. I don’t know if it was too much jasmine, or the addition of the hibiscus, but the taste was very floral, and left a perfume like aftertaste, which I did not enjoy. I had high hopes for this tea, but I don’t think it will make it onto my buying list.
Day 9’s tea was Forever Nuts, one of my favourites! Forever Nuts is a fruit infusion of almonds, apples, and cinnamon.
The scent on opening it was faintly of almonds and cinnamon. This fruit infusion also contains beetroot which gives it a lovely pink colour. I steeped this tea for 5 minutes in my clear tea pot so that I could enjoy the colour while sipping.
Forever Nuts, as you would imagine, tastes faintly of the almonds and cinnamon it contains. Happily the cinnamon in this tea was not overpowering, so I didn’t get that dry cinnamon aftertaste that I experienced with Organic Saigon Chai. I really couldn’t detect any apple flavour in it. It is a mild, light flavoured infusion, and is sweet enough on its own that it doesn’t require additional sweetening. I have purchased this tea before, and probably will again.
Oh I didn’t know I got Forever Nuts today! That is one of my favourites!

Oops, I knew I should have posted that separately later today! Sorry for ruining the surprise, I’ll remember that if I have to do a double post in future.

Oh no it’s ok with me:) I’m not big on surprises though so far I’ve refrained from looking Ahead.

Quite the interesting adventure you have had with the tea. I think your presentation has been an interesting one to watch from afar. I looked forward to reading your accounts of the care you took while steeping and the detailed rendition of the experience. Thank you! 🙂

It’s pretty boring really, but it’s kind of fun for me to share, lol.

What I meant by that was, I wasn’t sure it would be interesting to anyone…but I’m glad a few people are enjoying it!
