My crafting has been slower than usual lately. I've been putting in a few extra hours at work several days a week, and so my works in progress have suffered. In recent weeks I finally finished my first quilt top, but now I need to get some practice doing some free motion quilting. I also need to practice my cutting and piecing skills to improve them before I start on my next (already selected) project.

My Next Quilting Project
For those of you who have been following along, you'll know that I started my first ever quilt back in June when Tracy at It's a T-Sweets Day! ran a beginner quilt along. I fell behind but my quilt top is done and waiting for me to sandwich all the layers together to begin quilting it.
WIP Wednesday – October 11 2017
Once again I missed my WIP post last week. I've trying to be consistent, but work is ramping up and sometimes I just don't have the energy afterward to sit down and write a blog post. I will try to be better in future.
WIP Wednesday – September 27 2017
I've had a lot of headaches lately, so I didn't feel up to a post last week, and I haven't felt much like crafting either. I've been dealing with chronic neck pain from a herniated disc for many years now, and although it is much better now than when it was first injured, every once in a while the pain flares up and my neck, arms and head ache. I'm really hoping this episode passes soon, because I'm also busy at work and concentrating is difficult when you're in pain. Now on with the update!
