Review: All You Need Is A Duke by Bianca Blythe

iPad showing cover of Bianca Blythe’s Regency Romance All You Need Is A Duke.

All You Need is a Duke is book 1 in Bianca Blythe’s Regency romance series, The Duke Hunter’s Club.

I don’t think I’ve read a Bianca Blythe book before, but I downloaded this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription. Keeping this in mind, I was prepared for the possibility that the book was slightly less polished because although I love Kindle Unlimited as a reader, finding good books can be hit and miss. I’m happy to say that although there were a few areas in the book that seemed a little out of place in a Regency setting, they were fairly minimal, and things that I could easily get past. In fact I found this book very entertaining, and one of the more humourous Regency romances I’ve read recently..

The story begins with Margaret Carberry’s mother tying her to the bed of Jasper Tierney, the Duke of Jevington, while attending a ball at his home. This opening had me laughing and wondering where the author would go from there. Happily it was not the last time I had a good laugh while reading this book..

If you aren’t a stickler for complete accuracy in historical romance, then this is a great, light, fun read, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. I’ll be checking out more of Bianca Blythe’s books to see if her writing improves. I do love a good regency romance and I’m having a hard time finding new books, so I’ll be happy if I can add her to my list of authors to watch for.
