My apologies to anyone who received notifications from any old posts today. I’m pretty sure at least one went out today after I accidentally trashed a post and had to republish it while I was trying to recategorize and organize things. Hello everyone! I am back from almost a year away from my blog. I’ve been trying to figureContinue reading “Back from a Long Hiatus”
I can hardly believe that 2018 has come and gone already. I have been mostly absent since early last year, checking in only once in a while to share something. I’m hoping that in 2019 I find myself back in blogging and crafting mode. I fell in love with The Phantom of the Opera back when I was in high school. The first time I saw it, a friend had organized for a bunch of us to join a bus trip to Toronto to see it at the Pantages Theatre. I really had no idea what the story was about, so on the way up I read the book by Gaston Leroux, and I was really glad that I did because it gave me a much better appreciation of what was going on on stage. I fell in love with the spectacular music, and the beautiful costumes, and the venue made it a special experience.
I was so excited a few weeks ago to learn that I had won the first prize in Julia’s giveaway at Julia’s Creative Year. I am a little embarrassed to say that when she contact me I had actually kind of forgotten that I had entered. I usually enter these things, and assume that I won’t win, so I don’t keep track of them, I guess I should because I seem to be on more of a lucky streak lately.
