Unfortunately I don't have a weekly weight update since I'm currently on a ship bound for our first stop, Grand Cayman, but I'm trying to make healthy choices while on this trip with a few small splurges here and there. So far I think I'm doing well. I'm trying to keep my protein and fresh fruit and vegetable intake up, and resist all the delicious looking pastries and sweets.
Sadly, no yummy recipes again this week, and I'm super late posting my progress this week. My weigh in day was Monday, and it went well. I lost another 1.1 pounds, bringing me to a total of 96.1 pounds lost. My goal now is to try to keep making healthy choices for myself for the next two weeks while I'm on vacation and not in control of making all of my meals. This will be the true test to see if my resolve to make this a lifestyle change sticks.
I'm almost two days late posting this week because I'm busy getting things ready for my trip at the end of next week. Between running around to pick up things for me, and Truffles (for his stay with friends), and trying to get my work completed, there just aren't enough hours in a day! And I was disappointed that I didn't get posting on time because I have awesome news this week!
It's creeping closer and closer to one year since I started this journey, and I keep creeping closer and closer to my next big milestone of losing 100 pounds. I'm not far from my short term goal of hitting 95 pounds down. I've found that small goals are important to keep me motivated so I set a lot of small goals in 5 pound increments. This week I made it another half pound closer. For those keeping track, I'm now down 91.3 pounds from my starting weight of 286, and I have 44.7 pounds to go to my goal weight.
Work has been keeping me super busy, so I'm behind on reading blog posts (I have about 200 blog emails sitting in my inbox at the moment), and I seem to have misplaced my crafting mojo, and haven't located it yet. I'm hoping it comes back before my cruise in three weeks otherwise I'm in big trouble. My friends and I are headed for the Caribbean with some fellow crocheters, along with The Crochet Crowd! It's going to be a fun time!
