I wasn’t up to writing any reviews this past weekend, so I decided to do a little update with the latest of my more successful practice watercolours. Most of these are painted from reference photos on Pixabay.
First is this barn above, I thought the photo was interesting with the tree growing through the roof.

Next up are these two versions of a bridge. The first was painted with Beam paints. I love them but this was my first time using them and I found out that they reset, and start to blend together very easily. I decided to try it again with my Winsor & Newton Professional paints.

I did not do the reference photo justice in this winter scene above, but I wanted to practice that misty feeling. I would love to try it again sometime.

I really liked the reference p photo for this one. It’s another I would love to repaint once I have more skills.

And this was the last painting I completed, and also the final one in my sketchbook. I started a new painting in a new sketchbook this weekend, but it is not complete.
I hope you enjoyed the paintings. Links to the reference photos are below.

These are SO good! I really love how you did the barn painting.
