ARC Review: Prime Time Romance by Kate Robb

Prime Time Romance is a second chance, paranormal romcom by Kate Robb.

Brynn Smothers is getting over her failed marriage, is attracted to her roommate, Joshua Bishop, and is addicted to watching reruns of her favourite soap Opera, Carson Cove, a place she deems as ideal because everything always turns out the way it should. After one of the worst birthday’s ever, she and Josh find themselves transported to Carson Cove, and trapped there, where Brynn is forced to live out the unfinished story line as the main female character of the show, Sloan Edwards.

I had previously read and enjoyed Kate Robb’s book, This Spells Love, so I was really looking forward to reading Prime Time Romance, and I was not disappointed. It was just as much fun as the previous book I had read. Was the premise ridiculous? Absolutely! But it made for a hilarious read.

I really enjoyed watching Brynn and Josh’s relationship take shape as they tried to find their way out of Carson Cove and back to their own lives in Toronto.

Prime Time Romance was a fun, lighthearted, summer read. If love romance and are looking for a book to lift your spirits, then look no further.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Prime Time Romance publishes on September 3 2024.
