ARC Review: When I Disappear by Amanda McKinney

iPad showing cover of When I Disappear by Amanda McKinney

When I Disappear by Amanda McKinney is an exciting thriller which will keep you guessing until the end.

20 years ago Rhett Cohen was falsely accused, and imprisoned for the murder of Sylvia Stone’s mother, and it was her testimony that put the final nail in his coffin. Now he’s been released and he shows up at her door, determined to find the real killer and make him pay.

Just before his release, Sylvia started receiving threatening letters, making her believe that Rhett is innocent and she vows to help him clear his name.

This was such an interesting read. There is another mystery from Sylvia’s past and it soon becomes clear that everything is not as it seems. Soon we have to wonder who to believe in this story, and the ending is a shocking twist. (Or maybe not so shocking if you’re paying attention.)

I really enjoyed When I Disappear, it had some interesting twists that I wasn’t expecting, and kept me glued to my ereader until the end. I will look up more books by this author, as I haven’t read any of her previous work.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

When I disappear will be available on January 24 2025.
