Nicola May is a new to me author, and after reading her newest book How to Fix a Broken Heart I look forward to reading more from her.
How to Fix a Broken Heart deals with a number of sensitive subjects, some of which may be upsetting to some readers. I would list some trigger warnings, but I don’t want to spoil anything, so I would advise sensitive readers to look online.
Despite the sensitive subjects the book didn’t feel very heavy in tone, and had lots of lighter moments to balance things out.
There were a few characters in the book that I really didn’t care for, and at least one storyline which felt out of place, and really didn’t add a lot to the story, in my opinion.
I enjoyed How to Fix a Broken Heart, and while I didn’t find it necessary, some people may want to keep a box of tissues handy at several points in the book.
