ARC Review: Don’t Tell Me How It Ends by Adrienne Thurman

Don’t Tell Me How It Ends is a romantic comedy by Adrienne Thurman, and I’ll be honest, if I hadn’t been reading an advanced copy I probably would have put it on my DNF shelf. That’s not to say I don’t think other people won’t enjoy it, the writing was good, the story did pick up, it just wasn’t the book for me.

I think my biggest problem was with the main character, Kaia. I found her to be immature, self-absorbed, and judgemental of the people around her. I honestly don’t know what Ro, the love interest, saw in her, I didn’t really feel the romance between them.

There were some genuinely funny moments in the book, which had me laughing out loud. I also enjoyed the relationship between Kaia and her sister.

I would recommend this to people who love romcoms, and who may not be as annoyed by an unlikeable main character.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
