Any of you who were following my blog last year at about this time, may remember that I attended Romancing the Capital (RTC), a reader and author get together in Ottawa (Kanata to be exact), and it’s coming up this week! I’m so excited!
The format is slightly different this year, in that there will only be a dinner/dance on Friday night, rather than one on both Friday and Saturday nights, but I’m thrilled that the theme for this year is a masquerade ball.

My Weight Loss Journey – Week 51
Unfortunately I don’t have a weekly weight update since I’m currently on a ship bound for our first stop, Grand Cayman, but I’m trying to make healthy choices while on this trip with a few small splurges here and there. So far I think I’m doing well. I’m trying to keep my protein and fresh fruit and vegetable intake up, and resist all the delicious looking pastries and sweets.
Exciting Mail
I was so excited a few weeks ago to learn that I had won the first prize in Julia’s giveaway at Julia’s Creative Year. I am a little embarrassed to say that when she contact me I had actually kind of forgotten that I had entered. I usually enter these things, and assume that I won’t win, so I don’t keep track of them, I guess I should because I seem to be on more of a lucky streak lately.
