Queen Killer is the first in the fantastic new Legacy Hunter series by Chris Heinicke and Kate Reedwood.
Axel Ryan is a human in a dystopian universe where earth is dying and he is trying to find a way to save it. Axel’s love interest, Ellie (Element) Cruz, has her own secret agenda; to escape her mother, and find her half-sister.
I am always amazed when I pick up a science fiction book and the author, or in this case authors, are able to draw me into an imaginary world, and make it seem real. It always makes me wonder, how they come up with names for items, and creatures, and make them appear to be believable. Chris and Kate were able to do just that for me, with this first installment of their new Legacy Hunter series.
This story is mainly focused on Axel and his quest. It is fast paced, and action packed, with dangerous space pirates, strange goat-like aliens, a hit-man cyborg, and double-crossing friends.
From the beginning to the end, I found it hard to put down, and I can hardly wait for the next book in the series.
