Starlight Throw - Beginning

Sadly, I have not had time to work on any of my crafty projects for nearly two weeks! Here’s a recap of what is waiting for me:

I had been hesitating to start another project, but I need another large crochet project, so I decided to do another afghan. A friend asked me to make this Starlight Christmas Afghan for her just before Christmas last year, but it was too close to Christmas for me to get it finished. She said she wasn’t in a hurry for it, so I’ve been doing other projects, but it’s time to go back and get it completed.

I’m cheating by posting this as my WIP this week because I actually started this afghan back when she requested it. I made a couple of the motifs at the time to make sure that I wouldn’t have any trouble with the pattern before promising to make it for her.

I love the peppermint swirls, and once I finish this afghan , I hope to make another in burgundy and cream. I love that particular combination, I think it has a more old fashioned feel.

That’s it for my WIP post this week! I hope to actually make some progress on something this week. I would love to know what you are working on. Do you make holiday themed projects? How early do you start making projects before a holiday?

  1. I love the peppermint swirls too! That is my favorite Christmas design. I really need to start thinking about holiday crochet too. Last year it was crazy trying to get everything done at the last minute. πŸ˜€
