This shawl is worked from a center chain, completing one side, then joining to the original chain and stitching the other side.
It feels like it's been forever since I did a crafty post...I don't even remember what the last one was! One reason of course was my computer issues, and the other was a lack of crafting time. I finally got back into some crafting in April, but it was slow going. Back at the beginning of the month I decided to join the Spring Stitch Along hosted by The Crochet Crowd and sponsored by Joann Fabrics and Crafts. The deadline for entering into their contest is today, and while I finished my blanket a week ago, I decided not to enter the contest because I was too lazy to block my afghan when it was finished.
Work has been keeping me super busy, so I'm behind on reading blog posts (I have about 200 blog emails sitting in my inbox at the moment), and I seem to have misplaced my crafting mojo, and haven't located it yet. I'm hoping it comes back before my cruise in three weeks otherwise I'm in big trouble. My friends and I are headed for the Caribbean with some fellow crocheters, along with The Crochet Crowd! It's going to be a fun time!
I'm trying to finally get back into the groove of things here after my little vacation over the holidays. I'm finding it a little harder to find time to blog (and craft) during the week because work is keeping me busy, so I may have to play around with my schedule a bit. I hope you'll bear with me if I do, until I find my feet again.
I got really tired of not having completed any projects lately, so last weekend I started yet another quick and simple project so that I could feel like I had accomplished something. I actually owed my sister a birthday gift, and way, way back in January (when her birthday actually was) she had picked out a couple of patterns. One was a hat, and the other was a pair of slippers. I haven't gotten either of them done up until now, but on Sunday I sat down and started (and completed) her hat.
