I little while ago I gifted an afghan to my cousin (I’ve just realized I never blogged it because I was waiting until after I gifted it to her, so I’ll have to do that), and she has since told me that her son (and her dog) keep stealing it on her. To prevent fighting over the blanket, I decided to make him his own. I may even go so far as to make one for the dog. We’ll see.

Ocean Waves Afghan
Way, way back in February, while I was on my crochet cruise my friend (and coworker), Brigitte, and her family, looked after Truffles for me. Now, this was a big deal, because although her family had cats in the past, they had never had a dog in the house and weren’t sure what to expect. Add to that the fact that he has the Yorkie stubbornness against being completely house trained, and I wasn’t sure how things would go. Happily, he did just fine, and minded his manners while I was gone.

Back to Crafting – Spring SAL with The Crochet Crowd and JOANN
It feels like it’s been forever since I did a crafty post…I don’t even remember what the last one was! One reason of course was my computer issues, and the other was a lack of crafting time. I finally got back into some crafting in April, but it was slow going. Back at the beginning of the month I decided to join the Spring Stitch Along hosted by The Crochet Crowd and sponsored by Joann Fabrics and Crafts. The deadline for entering into their contest is today, and while I finished my blanket a week ago, I decided not to enter the contest because I was too lazy to block my afghan when it was finished.
Cruise Homework – Project Linus Squares Complete
Work has been keeping me super busy, so I’m behind on reading blog posts (I have about 200 blog emails sitting in my inbox at the moment), and I seem to have misplaced my crafting mojo, and haven’t located it yet. I’m hoping it comes back before my cruise in three weeks otherwise I’m in big trouble. My friends and I are headed for the Caribbean with some fellow crocheters, along with The Crochet Crowd! It’s going to be a fun time!
