Tea Advent Calendar Day 7 – Organic Saigon Chai

Today’s tea is Organic Saigon Chai, and it looks and smells very Christmasy. It’s a black tea with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and peppercorns. There are red peppercorns in this which is what makes it look Christmasy, and the cinnamon gives it a Christmasy smell. (Yes, I know I”m using the word Christmasy a lot, but it’s appropriate.)

Tea Advent Calendar Day 6 – Organic North African Mint

It’s day 6 already! I can’t believe how quickly the days are passing, before you know it, I’ll be opening my last tin of tea for this year! Today’s tea is North African Mint, which is a green tea. I have to admit, that even though I love green tea, I wasn’t thrilled to see this one. Mint is not my favourite flavour, but as usual I tried to keep an open mind. According to the blurb on this tea it also contains cardamom, ginger, and licorice. We’ll just see if I can detect them.

Tea Advent Calendar Day 5 – Glitter & Gold

It’s day 5 and it’s a Glitter & Gold day! Glitter and Gold is a black tea and has been a regular Christmas tea for David’s Tea for at least the past 4 years since I discovered them. It’s one of my favourites, and is known for the gold star shaped sprinkles in the tea that help to sweeten it up. This tea smells slightly spicy when opening it due to the cloves in it.

Tea Advent Calendar Day 3 – Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait

It was a super busy day for me today. I drove from Ottawa to Kingston to visit with my cousin who is visiting from Calgary, then it was back home to Ottawa. Then I got news that there were problems replacing the hard drive in my work laptop, so I have to pick it up at the office tomorrow, and then take it back on Friday to have the hard drive replaced next weekend. Needless to say, it’s been a bit of a stressful day, so I was glad when I finally arrived home, and was able to sit down for my evening tea.
