A little bit of all the things that make life worthwhile for me.
My crafting has been slower than usual lately. I’ve been putting in a few extra hours at work several days a week, and so my works in progress have suffered.
In recent weeks I finally finished my first quilt top, but now I need to get some practice doing some free motion quilting. I also need to practice my cutting and piecing skills to improve them before I start on my next (already selected) project.
For those of you who have been following along, you’ll know that I started my first ever quilt back in June when Tracy at It’s a T-Sweets Day! ran a beginner quilt along. I fell behind but my quilt top is done and waiting for me to sandwich all the layers together to begin quilting it.
Once again I missed my WIP post last week. I’ve trying to be consistent, but work is ramping up and sometimes I just don’t have the energy afterward to sit down and write a blog post. I will try to be better in future.
In January of this year I started my first bullet journal and I love it, but I found it annoying that I was always losing my pen. To remedy the situation I decided to make a cover for it and add a pocket.
I finally made it through lesson 4 of Tracy’s quilt along over at It’s A T-Sweets Day and I’m feeling pretty happy with what I’ve accomplished.
