I'm so happy to be able to report that I had another fantastic week, and that I've passed a huge milestone in my weight loss journey! For the last few weeks, I've been moving closer and closer to passing the halfway mark on my journey, and this week I finally did it!
I was browsing around on Facebook Sunday and I saw a delicious looking recipe for chicken breast with Parmesan cheese and paprika. Of course, I didn't think to save the recipe, so when I was trying to think of something a little different for dinner last night, I thought I would attempt to make my own version, and here it is...it's super simple, I promise.
Week 29, and I'm still going strong. Sometimes this surprises me, because there were a few times in the last few years that I thought I was ready to commit to losing weight and getting healthy, but it just didn't work out. Having struggled with this in the past, I know that for me, I have to really be in a specific mental space in order to make that commitment to myself, and apparently, I was finally back in that space this time around.
I was honoured to be chosen by Tracy at It's a T-Sweets Day! to supply this month's bake along recipe, my grandma's famous (in my family anyway) Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Tracy at It's a T-Sweets Day! has asked me to contribute a recipe this month for the Fantastic Bake Along so I wracked my brain trying to think of something, and finally came up with this recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies which my grandma used to make when I was a kid. (That was a long, long, time ago for those wondering.) I haven't made this recipe in years (and have only actually attempted it once or twice), but it has been on my mind lately, since I've been thinking about her.
