WIP Wednesday – September 27 2017

I’ve had a lot of headaches lately, so I didn’t feel up to a post last week, and I haven’t felt much like crafting either. I’ve been dealing with chronic neck pain from a herniated disc for many years now, and although it is much better now than when it was first injured, every once in a while the pain flares up and my neck, arms and head ache. I’m really hoping this episode passes soon, because I’m also busy at work and concentrating is difficult when you’re in pain. Now on with the update!

My Weight Loss Journey – Week 30

Wow! I can hardly believe it’s been 30 weeks since I decided to take the plunge and join Weight Watchers to try to lose some weight and get back to being healthy again! I wasn’t sure where I would be at this point in my journey, or even if I would be able to stick with it this long, but I’m happy to say, I’m almost halfway to my goal, and still going strong!

My Weight Loss Journey – Week 29

Week 29, and I’m still going strong. Sometimes this surprises me, because there were a few times in the last few years that I thought I was ready to commit to losing weight and getting healthy, but it just didn’t work out. Having struggled with this in the past, I know that for me, I have to really be in a specific mental space in order to make that commitment to myself, and apparently, I was finally back in that space this time around.

Fantastic Bake Along – Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Tracy at It’s a T-Sweets Day! has asked me to contribute a recipe this month for the Fantastic Bake Along so I wracked my brain trying to think of something, and finally came up with this recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies which my grandma used to make when I was a kid. (That was a long, long, time ago for those wondering.) I haven’t made this recipe in years (and have only actually attempted it once or twice), but it has been on my mind lately, since I’ve been thinking about her.
