My crafting has been slower than usual lately. I've been putting in a few extra hours at work several days a week, and so my works in progress have suffered. In recent weeks I finally finished my first quilt top, but now I need to get some practice doing some free motion quilting. I also need to practice my cutting and piecing skills to improve them before I start on my next (already selected) project.

I finally tried out a new recipe this week (in addition to the one I made for the Fantastic Bake Along), but before I get to the recipe I have an update and a before and after picture.
My Next Quilting Project
For those of you who have been following along, you'll know that I started my first ever quilt back in June when Tracy at It's a T-Sweets Day! ran a beginner quilt along. I fell behind but my quilt top is done and waiting for me to sandwich all the layers together to begin quilting it.
Fantastic Bake Along – Chili/Chocolate Bread
My post is a bit late, as usual. I had planned to have it posted yesterday, but unfortunately by the time I got around to starting it, I had a headache, and my photo editing software required an upgrade...which required more disc space on my computer, so I had to rearrange some things. By the time I was done, I was no longer in the mood to write, so here I am on Sunday morning, trying to get my thoughts together for this bake along.
